Education Scholarship


To be eligible for the Richard T. Nuske Memorial Scholarship, the student applicant must:

  • Write an original essay based on an interview with any U.S. Vietnam Era Veteran
  • Return the essay, application form proof of veteran's status service and if in school - transcripts, otherwise a letter of acceptance and course registration.  
  • Entry of essay must be postmarked no later than TBD*

  • Applications will be scored as follows:
    • Direct decendant of a Vietnam Era veteran (e.g., child/grandchild)                            15pts.
    • Relative of a Vietnam Era veteran (e.g., niece, cousin)                                                  5pts.
    • Essay                                                                                                          30pts.     30pts.

                                                                             Maximum points possible        35pts. -  50pts.
